Our discipleship model is built on biblical depth, intentional relationships, and multiplication. We believe that true discipleship produces mature believers who are equipped to disciple others and advance God’s Kingdom.
1. Bible Training Center for Pastors (BTCP)
The Bible Training Center for Pastors (BTCP) is a foundational program designed specifically for pastors and church leaders who have not had the opportunity to attend a formal theological institution.
Through BTCP, we:
Equip pastors with sound biblical knowledge
Teach correct interpretation and teaching of Scripture
Strengthen pastoral leadership, shepherding, and ministry ethics
Build confidence in preaching and discipleship
This program enriches pastors so they can lead their congregations faithfully, biblically, and effectively.
2. School of Ministry – Disciple-Making at the Local Church Level
Alongside BTCP, we run a School of Ministry within the local church. Each year, we intentionally disciple a small group of 10–15 committed believers.
During this one-year discipleship journey, participants:
Are taken through the entire Bible in a structured and practical way
Undergo mindset transformation into the likeness of Christ
Learn biblical doctrine, Christian character, and ministry skills
Grow in spiritual discipline, leadership, and service
This close, relational approach allows for deep spiritual formation rather than mass training.
3. Multiplication Through Calling and Commissioning
For example Pr. Francis in the Picture our Alumni from school of Ministry now teaching his disciples. After completing the discipleship process, graduates are released according to their God-given calling:
Some go on to plant churches
Others establish evangelistic ministries
Some serve in administrative and support roles within churches and ministries
Others continue faithfully as pastors and ministry leaders
Each disciple is trained not only to serve, but to make disciples, ensuring multiplication and long-term impact.
Our Discipleship Philosophy
We do not simply train leaders—we raise disciples who raise other disciples. By grounding believers in Scripture, transforming their minds, and releasing them into their calling, we see sustainable church growth and community transformation across Uganda.
To develop entrepreneurial leaders who combine faith, integrity, and innovation.
Entrepreneurial Leadership Development (ELD Uganda)
ELD Uganda is a discipleship-driven economic empowerment ministry implemented in partnership with Proverbs 27:17 Ministry. ELD stands for Entrepreneurial Leadership Development.
This ministry equips disciples not only spiritually, but also practically—helping them live out their faith through ethical leadership, productive work, and sustainable livelihoods.
Our Purpose
We inspire individuals and groups to act on their God-given dreams by teaching business and leadership principles rooted in the Bible. Our goal is to see transformed disciples who can sustainably support their families, strengthen their churches, and impact their communities.
How ELD Works
ELD Uganda uses a biblical and practical approach to entrepreneurship and leadership. Through structured training, we teach participants to:
Apply biblical business ethics
Develop clear vision and planning skills
Write and implement business plans
Practice effective leadership and accountability
Understand business processes such as problem-solving, follow-up, and SWOT analysis
Steward resources wisely and avoid misuse
We address one of the major causes of business failure—poor leadership and lack of planning—by training disciples to think critically, plan intentionally, and act responsibly.
From Training to Practice
After completing ELD training, participants (ELD alumni) are encouraged to put principles into action by starting or improving simple and micro-enterprises, including:
Poultry rearing
Crop production
Goat, sheep, pig, and cattle rearing
Fish farming (ponds and cage systems)
Some graduates go further to form cooperatives, pooling resources and skills to increase impact. Currently, we have three fully operational cooperatives, all legally registered and functioning under the laws of Uganda—fruit of the ELD approach.
A Holistic Discipleship Model
ELD Uganda is part of our holistic discipleship vision. After discipling people through the Word of God, we equip them with business and leadership skills so they can:
Sustain their ministries
Provide for their families
Access quality healthcare, education, nutrition, and housing
Serve their churches without dependency
We believe economic stability strengthens spiritual impact.
Looking Ahead: Growth and Value Addition
While many initiatives currently operate at a micro level, our vision is to grow toward medium-scale and industrial enterprises. Through cooperatives, we aim to:
Add value chains to production
Promote local industrialization
Create employment opportunities
Introduce appropriate technology to underserved communities
Address challenges such as lack of electricity and clean water
Our Conviction
A healthy family builds a healthy church—and a healthy church transforms a community.
ELD Uganda exists to see disciples thrive spiritually and economically, becoming agents of lasting change across Uganda.
The Oriokots – Disciples Making Disciples
The Oriokots is a discipleship movement committed to raising and equipping disciples who make disciples across Uganda and beyond. We exist to strengthen the Body of Christ through biblically grounded discipleship, leadership development, and sustainable livelihoods.
Founded in 2017 under Proverbs 27:17 Ministry Ltd (Guarantee), our work is inspired by the Scripture:
> “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” — Proverbs 27:17
Since our inception, God has enabled us to train over 50 pastors, equip more than 100 church and ministry leaders, and support the establishment of over 20 church plants. As we walked closely with these leaders, we encountered a deep and painful reality—many pastors and their families were living in extreme poverty, often surviving on one meal a day or none at all, lacking access to healthcare, proper clothing, and quality education for their children.
We witnessed gifted servants of God abandoning their divine calling under the weight of poverty. We also observed how economic desperation tempted some leaders to drift from the true Gospel. Through prayer and discernment, we recognized poverty as a modern-day bondage afflicting the Church.
In response, the Lord redirected our mission toward holistic discipleship, integrating entrepreneurship skills rooted in biblical principles to restore dignity, stewardship, and sustainability to pastors, church leaders, and communities.
This led us into partnership with ELD Global (Entrepreneurial Leadership Development), an organization committed to equipping individuals and groups with entrepreneurial leadership skills for Kingdom impact.
Through this partnership, we have witnessed remarkable transformation:
Over 1,000 individuals trained in Entrepreneurial Leadership Development
More than 100 micro, small, and medium enterprises established and thriving
25 businesses supported through revolving funds
3 fully operational cooperatives formed to promote mass production, value addition, and sustainable livelihoods
These initiatives are designed to strengthen church-driven ministries, promote community development, and support long-term economic transformation in underdeveloped regions such as Uganda.
Today, we are seeing lives restored, ministries strengthened, and communities transformed. We believe this is the living expression of Proverbs 27:17 in action—and through it all, the LORD alone receives the glory.
